My Little City Blog

Nights and days pass in Gotham. Each area is distinct and posing its own reality…coffee shop, pizza parlor, and dry cleaners…all the same but different…in that they create many different realities. This blog is my reality.

Random Pictures!

This was this nice girl I met at Nick's. I'm not sure her name and I'm not sure why I cut her boyfriend out of the picture...but I did. In any case, nice girl who laughed at a few of my jokes.

Me and John "The General" Lee kicking it on Cinco de Mayo. I think I've spent more Cinco de Mayos with this Korean than anyone. Too funny! Holla!

Rey "El Rey" Contreras with his cousin, Gerry "Cougar Hunter" Rodriguez

Stevie the Bull rides the subways of the NYC!

Lee "Smooth" Morrison doing what he does best...chilling with a beer. If you are ever in LA and want to party this is the man to call.

John, Telma, Milos, and Ruby on our quickly put together Cinco de Mayo party. Although put together at the last second it was very kick-ass.

Las de Yale. Never forget Ramon Ayala, Ladies.

Rey, Lindsey, and Lee at Keeley's bar where the beautiful Lindsey tends to the bar.

Me and KB. Nuff said people...KB is the man!

Ruby and Anne! Ruby has to be one of the best people to party with in the city. And Anne...well Anne left and went and married some nice guy from D.C. She still pops in the city from time to time...Anne and I will always have France in common.

Moon and the crew. What can you say, Moon is one of the nicest guys in the world and is always there with a quick smile and hug. Great guy!!

This is a fat cat that hangs out in this record store down on Bleeker Street.

Mel and Alina in the photo. I was their photographer for the night.

Subway Ride To Work

Every time I jump on the subway here in the NYC I wonder how many times I am going to fall in love. I tend to do that to pass the time and the amounts of times I fall in love can vary from 1 to 8. Yes, that is I fall in love 8 times in half an hour. Of course this isn’t love per se, but I pretend my quick visions of beauty are love and who can dispute that.

Today I fell in love twice.

There was this random Indian girl who gets on at my stop. She is tall and slender and probably too tall for me, but she always smiles and says hello. It is more of an acknowledgement that we both ride the train at the same time every day. Seeing her makes me smile and makes me feel a bit like someone else is on my boat of grinding it out daily.

I then fell in love with an older lady. She must have been about 45 but she was in shape. She had this really hip leather jacket and dress on under. Physically she wasn’t a year over 28 with her great legs.

Well when you are forced to be face to face with hundreds and even thousands of people a day you have to do something to pass the time. I suggest you fall in love on the subway a few times.
